Saint Peter's Cathedral School
From a tiny mustard seed courageously planted in 1830 by three sisters from Mother Seton’s community, Saint Peter’s Cathedral School has grown from an orphanage and boarding school to a diocesan elementary school that proudly proclaims a long and rich history.
Founded by the Daughters of Charity, who view education as a freeing process, the Cathedral School provides an atmosphere that speaks the Gospel Message and responds to the needs of society.
The school community is comprised of children from a variety of religious, cultural, and economic backgrounds in grades Pre-K3 to 8; such diversity is the soil from which respect and understanding grow. The school, which is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, provides a superior education in a caring environment. For more information, please call (302) 656-5234.
